Career
Shortly after finishing the Peace Corps, Ashley was inspired to start an eco-friendly children’s clothing brand, Ashley Rose Clothing, in Hawaii that launched her career in Apparel Technical Design. Over six years, she gained skills in patterning, fabric sourcing, manufacturing and sustainable product development.
She later moved into landscaping design after coming into alignment with her core values of sustainability and the impact that she could make in improving local environments. Through working with local landscaping companies in the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia areas, her knowledge of native plants and sustainable practices has allowed her to make a positive environmental impact to help reduce stormwater runoff, enhance properties with pollinator gardens and create outdoor spaces to promote more time spent outdoors.
